PhD, Benjamin Naku është pedagog në departamentin e Edukimit Fizik dhe Sporteve, fakulteti Shkencave të Edukimit, Universiteti i Shkodrës “Luigj Gurakuqi” që prej vitit 2008. Ai ka eksperiencë në mësimdhënie dhe kërkim shkencor në fushën e Edukimit Fizik, Sportit dhe Shëndetit dhe titullar në lëndët, Gjimnastikë, Metodikë e Sporteve Artistike, Didaktikë e Edukimit Fizik dhe Sportit, Historia e Edukimit Fizik dhe Sportit në Shqipëri. Ka marrë pjesë në projekte shkencore, konferenca dhe publikime kombëtare e ndërkombëtare. Interesat e tij kërkimore përfshijnë disiplinën sportive të Gjimnastikës duke analizuar teknikat dhe proçesin mësimor të kësaj disipline, studime mbi mënyrën se si përcillet aktiviteti fizik te brezat e rinj dhe ndikimi i tij në zhvillimin motorik. Ai ka një ekspertizë të veçantë në metodikën e gjimnastikës, duke analizuar teknikat dhe metodikat e mësimit të kësaj disipline. Një nga projektet e tij të fundit kërkimore fokusohet në Monografinë “Historia e Edukimit Fizik dhe Sportit në Shkodër 1912-1939”. Nga viti 2026 ai është REVIEWER në International Journal of Digital Research. https://ijdr.net/editorial-team/ American University in Bulgaria (AUBG).

Ka mbajtur postin e drejtuesit të departamentit 2012-2020 dhe 2024 në vazhdim. Ai ka eksperiencë të gjatë pune në fushën e Edukimit Fizik dhe Sportit.
