Verjona Peqini është pedagoge në Departamentin e Matematikës, Fakulteti i Shkencave Natyrore, Universiteti i Shkodrës “Luigj Gurakuqi”, ku kontribuon në veprimtarinë akademike që prej vitit 2022. Ajo ka eksperiencë në mësimdhënie dhe kërkim shkencor në fushën e informatikës e matematikës së aplikuar dhe titullare në lëndët: sisteme shfrytëzimi, administrim dhe siguri sistemi, kompjuter hardware. Ka marrë pjesë në projekte shkencore, konferenca dhe publikime kombëtare e ndërkombëtare autore bashkautore numri konsiderueshëm & artikujsh.Interesat saj kërkimore përfshijnë inteligjencën artificiale dhe rolin e saj në transformimin e tregut të punës, aplikimin metodave statistikore dhe analizën e të dhënave.
