Julian Kraja është lektor pranë Universitetit të Shkodrës “Luigj Gurakuqi” që nga viti 2001. Aktualisht është Përgjegjës i Departamentit të Lëndëve Paraklinike që nga viti 2023. Ka qënë Përgjegjës i Departamentit Infermieri për 7 vite (2009-2016) dhe Zv. Dekan në Fakultetin e Shkencave të Natyrës për tre vite (2020-2023). Gjithashtu ka qënë Përgjegjës i Zyrës së Këshillimit dhe Karrierës të Studentëve (2018-2020) si dhe Anëtar i Këshillit të Fakultetit të Shkencave të Natyrës (2008-2012). Ai mban një diplome 4 vjeçare në Infermieri, Master të Nivelit të Dytë (Master ekzekutiv) në Shkencat Infemierore, Doktoraturë në Shkencat Infermierore dhe Titullin Docent.

Ekspert i jashtëm pranë pranë ASCAL në disa programe studimi në shkencat mjekësore teknike.

Aktivitetet e tij akademike dhe profesionale përqendrohen në mësimdhënie dhe kërkim shkencor sidomos në pjesën paraklinike, por jo vetëm.

Ai është titullar për lëndët: Bazat e Infermieristikës; Etikë-Deontologji, Shëndet komunitar dhe Ndihma e parë/Urgjencat mjekësore. Jep mësim në programet e studimit Bachelor në Infermieri, Infermieri-Mami, Fizioterapi; Master profesional “Psikologji Shëndeti” dhe Master Shkencor “Infermieri Klinike”.
