Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with Shkodra University "Luigj Gurakuqi" offers 2 scholarships for PhD candidates in the field of Tourism, for the spring semester of the academic year 2024-2025 (first week of June 2025) as part of the EU program ERASMUS+ Mobility with Partner Countries.
These scholarships are offered within the framework of the program entitled: International Credit Mobility financed by the EU. This program allows students from the University of Shkodra to study at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and vice versa. Students will be able to go to Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences for the spring semester of the academic year 2024-2025 (first week of June 2025), for which they can attend a 3-day seminar for junior researchers who are/will be soon engaged in their project proposal writing as well as give a lecture/2 lectures in their research subject/area of expertise.
Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from PhD candidates enrolled in the respective programs at the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi" who have completed at least the first year of their studies.
What are the requirements?
· Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students at the University of Shkodra in a PhD study program in Sustainable Tourism;
· At least the first year of studies must be completed at the time of application;
· The scholarship is tied to the successful completion of mobility at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences;
· Candidates should have B2/C1 English language skills and be proactive/interested to develop their proposal writing skills with a perspective that they would be engaged in this later.

Assessment of the applications
In the first stage a selection committee from the University of Shkodra will assess the applications.
In a second stage representatives of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences will approve the selected candidates.
