As part of the EU-Programme ERASMUS+ Mobility with Partner Countries, University of Camerino, Italy in collaboration with the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” offers scholarships in the field of Mathematics or Informatics studies in Master level for the autum semester 2024 – 2025.
These scholarships are offered in the framework of program titled: International credit mobility KA171 financed by EU. This program enables students of Shkodra University to go to University of Camerino, Italy. Students can study at University of Camerino for a semester (5 months), for which credits are obtained. The activities may include exams or thesis preparation. After the mobility phase, the students return to their sending institution to complete their studies.
The mobilities of students must take place during the academic year 2024-2025, from October 2024 to February 2025.
Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from MA-students enrolled in Mathematics or Informatics study programme at University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” who have finished BA studies in Mathematics or Informatics at Shkodra University.
Which requirements are necessary?
- Applicants have to be enrolled as a full-time-student at the University of Shkodra in a MA programme that will lead to an accepted degree;
- ·BA study programs in Mathematics or Informatics needs to be completed at the time of application;
- ·the grant is tied to a successful completion of a full semester at University of Camerino;
- scholarshipholders must not receive financial support from any another EU-programme at the same time;
Grants:
Grantees will receive a grant to contribute to their travel costs as a contribution to their costs for travel and individual support during their mobility.
The travel support will be of € 275,00, as defined by the Erasmus+ programme on the basis of the distance bands. The individual support will be 850€ per month.
Erasmus+ selected students will continue to pay fees to their sending university but will benefit from tuition waiver from their host university.
Selected candidates accepting the scholarship will sign a scholarship contract listing their duties and responsibilities. They will be required to comply with the local admission requirements and registration procedures at the Host University.

- Certificate of English Language (at least B2 level)
- Proof of socio-economic disadvantaged background (in case it is available)

Assessment of the applications
At the first stage a selection committee from the University of Shkodra will assess the applications.
Mathematics students will have priority in the final ranking list.
In the framework of Erasmus+ regulations the first criterion for selecting students must be academic merit, but with equivalent academic level, preference should be assigned to students from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
At a second stage representatives of Camerino University will approve the selected candidates.
