Scholarship offered by Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy

As part of the EU ERASMUS+ Mobility with Partner Countries program, Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy in collaboration with the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” is offering 2 scholarships for the Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs in Literature and Linguistics from September 2025 to February 2026.

These scholarships are offered as part of the International Credit Mobility Program which is financed by the EU. The program allows students from Shkodra University to study to Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy and vice versa. Students can study at Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy for a period of about 6 months (September 2025 to February 2026) during which they will earn credits. After the mobility phase, students return to their home institution to complete their studies.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students enrolled in the aforementioned programs at University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” who have completed at least the first year.

What requirements are necessary?

· Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time-students at the University of Shkodra in a BA, MA or PhD program that leads to an accredited degree;

· At least the first year pf the program must be completed at the time of application;

· The grant is tied to a successful completion of a full semester at Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy;

· Scholarship holders must not receive financial support from any another EU-programme at the same time;

Required documents for the application:

· Curriculum vitae;

· Transcript of records;

· Letter of intent explaining your motivation and focus for studing at the Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy ;

· Certificate of English or Italian Language proficiency (B1 level);

· Copy of the passport

The application must be submitted in English. All documents must be sent electronically as one pdf-file at iroshkoder@unishk.edu.al

Evaluation of the applications

In the first stage, a selection committee from the University of Shkodra (respective Faculty) will evaluate the applications.

In the second stage representatives of Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy will approve the selected candidates.
