ERASMUS+ Scholarships for BA-students (German Studies, English Studies, Geography, Business Administration, Social Work, Health Sciences/Nursing/Gerontology) at the University of Vechta (Germany)

As part of the EU-Programme ERASMUS+ Mobility with Partner Countries we offer
scholarships for students studying one of the following subjects: 
• German Studies
• English Studies
• Geography 
• Business Administration
• Social Work
• Health Sciences/Nursing/Gerontology
The scholarships are granted for an exchange semester during the winter semester 
2026/2027 (duration October 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027) at the University of Vechta in 
Germany. The scholarships will be paid until the end of the lecture period on January 
30, 2027.
The University of Vechta is located at the heart of Northwest Lower Saxony in Germany. 
Cosmopolitan, personal, familial – today the University of Vechta is a youthful, modern 
campus university with excellent conditions for studying and a clearly delineated profile. For 
more than 5000 students, the campus offers a familial atmosphere conveniently coupled with 
the infrastructure of a modern university.

Students participating in the ERASMUS+ Programme are exempted from tuition fees. 
However, a semester service fee of currently 381,36 EUR will have to be paid upon arrival.
Please keep in mind that the semester service fee may be higher. It is an administration fee 
for the Student Services Organisation (Studentenwerk), the Students’ Union Executive 
Committee (AStA) and includes free pass for German public transport, excluding the longdistance transport (Bundesweites Semesterticket), and perk use of the refectory/dining hall.
The monthly grant is 900 EUR (one month is calculated as 30 days). In addition, a one-off 
travel allowance of 395 EUR is paid. The first grant installment and the travel allowance will 
be paid in cash upon arrival in Vechta when signing the Grant Agreement. The remaining 
grant is paid monthly. The last installment will be paid during the final month of your stay 
after completion of all ERASMUS+ formalities. 
Who can apply? 
Applications are welcome from students enrolled in one of the above mentioned study 
programmes from the third BA-semester onwards of the University of Shkodra.

Which requirements are necessary? 
• applicants have to be enrolled as a full-time-student at the University of Shkodra in a 
study programme that will lead to an accepted degree; 
• the first year of study needs to be completed at the time of application; 
• the grant is tied to a successful completion of a full semester at the University of 
Vechta;
• a minimum of 15 CP will have to be completed during your Erasmus+ stay;
• scholarship holders must not receive financial support from any another EUprogramme at the same time or participated in the Erasmus Programme before

The application has to be handed in either in English or German.
All documents have to be sent in electronically as one pdf-file. The file name should 
contain the name of the applicant. Application files which are not named correctly may 
be considered SPAM by the system and ignored. 
Please send your application with an e-mail containing a subject, a salutation, a short 
text and a greeting. Otherwise the e-mail may be considered SPAM by the system and 
ignored. 
What offers the ERASMUS+ Programme in addition? 
• The academic recognition of the completed credits from the visiting university as 
agreed in the Learning Agreement
• Access to almost all courses taught at the University of Vechta
• An accommodation data base and personal assistance in finding an apartment or a 
room in a flat share 
• Participation in the Smoother Start Programme, the orientation weeks for 
international students, including an intensive German language course, an 
intercultural training and assistance with formalities 
• Courses in German as a foreign language 
• Peer-mentoring programme (participation optional)

• Free university sports, excursions and various (inter)cultural events and activities
Participation in the Smoother Start Programme is mandatory. The arrival in Vechta 
should therefore take place about 2 weeks before the start of the semester.
Assessment of the applications 
A selection committee will assess the applications.
