On December 3, 2020, a closing conference of the T@sk project (Towards Increased Awareness, responsibility, and shared quality in Social Work) was organized as part of the Erasmus + Programme, funded by the European Union.
The conference was held online, while a small group of professors from the three Albanian partner universities in the project, the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", the University of Elbasan "Aleksandër Xhuvani" and the University of Tirana, attended the conference from Aula Magna hall at the Faculty of Social Sciences, UT.
Participants in the discussion panels were honored academics from Albanian and European universities, representatives of the Erasmus + Office in Albania, state institutions, social services, civil society, and students.
Discussions held at this conference addressed topics related to the achievements and opportunities of the future of social work.
On behalf of the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", the conference was greeted by the Rector Prof.dr. Suzana Golemi, who shared with the participants the achievements of this project. The project coordinator for USH, Dr. Visar Dizdari presented the topic "Principles of social work in the European model, adapted to the Albanian context."
Also, Jasmina Bushi, representative of "The Door-Albania", associate partner in this project, shared with the participants the experience of cooperation of the organization with the University of Shkodra. Manuela Probibaj, student of the bachelor program in Social Work, shared the experience of students as well regarding this project and above all focused on the benefits that the project has brought to them.
Project T@sk was finalized after a 3-year implementation period, being considered as a very important project for the department of Psychology and Social Work, as it brought an increase in the professional qualification of the academic staff, updating the study program in Social Work and professional practice, improving teaching ICT methods and infrastructure, enriching with contemporary foreign literature professors and students, exchanging good experiences and increasing cooperation with Albanian and European counterpart departments, as well as strengthening links with social service providers in the territory of Shkodra.
